One of our favorite shows of the year is the annual employee appreciation party at the Chancery Harbourwalk in Racine! SSE has enjoyed a great relationship with the Chancery for over 10 years…it’s like our home away from home! Brian and his crew soldiered through a challenging year that brought this great crew even closer together. The Chancery Pub & Restaurant in Pleasant Prairie was the site of some Sunday night fun…at their annual employee bash! We were set up in some prime real estate, right between the dining room and the pub. Chancery’s hard working staff enjoyed a delicious buffet, followed by cocktails, dancing, karaoke, and mass hysteria! SSE was in full MC mode, announcing two rounds of killer giveaways, and everyone went home a winner. We’re lucky to partner up with such a great company, and want to thank Adam, Jessica, and all the managers and crew for such a great night!

SSE’s first show of 2012 was the perfect way to kick off the New Year! Micaela’s family and friends threw her an awesome "Sweet Sixteen" party, and we were excited to be there! The Moose Lodge in Kenosha was decked out in twinkle lights, and guests of all ages enjoyed plenty of family-friendly fun with great food, tunes, and even karaoke! Keith and Allissa celebrated at the University Of Wisconsin-Parkside, and SSE brought the party! Our couple exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony, followed by great cocktails and a fantastic dinner. John and his staff at UW-P catering are a pleasure to work with, their preparation and attention to detail are second to none. The extra-large dance floor in the Grand Ballroom could barely contain us, we kept it packed from beginning to end! Our final show of 2011 was the perfect way to cap off an incredible year. The “Taylor Gang” came out in full force at Taylor’s “Pretty In Pink” Sweet Sixteen party! We had a packed house at the Radisson Hotel in Pleasant Prairie, and boy did we have our hands full! There was plenty of cake and treats to keep our dancers fueled up, a custom photo booth to capture the memories, and tons of great tunes from SSE. The first snowfall of the year greeted us on Saturday morning, and set the stage perfectly for our bride and groom's big day! We first celebrated with this wonderful family at a surprise party 9 years ago, and when it came time to plan Nicole’s reception…SSE got the call! SSE entertained on familiar grounds at the Racine Art Museum’s annual fundraising gala! The Johnson Building on Main Street opened their doors for a night full of gaming, excitement, and fun! Chef John and his staff prepared an excellent meal, and our friends from Toad Hall kept the spirits flowing at the beverage stations. Silent auctions, casino tables, and great raffles kept everyone busy and engaged, and we lit up the lobby with 70’s-inspired funk! Special thanks to Laura and all the crew who worked hard to raise funds for this very worthwhile endeavor. We can’t wait for next year’s event!

Family, friends, businesses, and a community came together for an unbelievable night of memories and fun! Melissa Rose Corona was tragically taken from us too soon, and it was evident how many lives she touched by the hundreds of people who came together to make this all-day event so special. A benefit was held at the Vintage Rock Café to help offset the remaining funeral expenses, and begin a trust fund for Melissa's son Hunter. We took over VRC’s DJ booth from 4-8pm, and warmed up the crowd for the great live music that followed! Area businesses and vendors generously donated fantastic raffle prizes, delicious food, and monetary support to raise over $6,500 for this very worthy cause. The outpouring of love and support was truly moving, and we were proud to be a part of it. #TeamMRC4Life!

SSE hit the road…and hit it hard, in Grayslake, Illinois! The Country Squire was the perfect setting for Ben & Michelle Hill's autumn wedding, and it’s one we’ll never forget! This historic venue was originally built as the stately residence of Chicago business mogul Wesley Sears. Years later, the beautiful estate still hosts the finest celebrations, and we were thrilled to be there for all the excitement. A very enthusiastic wedding party set the tone for the evening’s festivities, and the dance floor could hardly contain us! Huge thanks to the Caselli and Hill families...what a night!

Our bride and groom returned from their homes in California to celebrate with family and friends, and we were honored to be part of it. Anchor Fitness is one of SSE’s favorite clients, and we had another blast with them at their Fall Gala! Our friends at the Racine Marriott always do an exceptional job, and we closed out September with a great evening. Following a delicious dinner, the Anchor crew recognized the accomplishments of this session’s shining stars. Hearing the stories of dedication, hard work, and determination from the participants is truly inspiring! With the speeches concluded, we cut loose and lit up the dance floor with some great tunes. Family and friends gathered for a very special afternoon of memories and fun at the “Fight For Carp” benefit! Adam Carpino was the victim of a tragic hit-and-run motorcycle accident. A Car & Bike Wash, held at Paradise Lanes in Racine, raised funds to help offset the medical costs for his family. The sun was shining bright, and by mid-afternoon the parking lot was full of people sharing their memories, enjoying the fellowship, and donating towards the cause! In addition to the Car & Bike Wash, there was a “car smash”, a bouncy house for the kids, and plenty of great food on the grill to keep everyone fueled up. SSE was honored to participate in such a worthwhile event, and do our part to help this family and our community. “In Memory Of Carp!”

The Roots Of Love!

Roots Restaurant and Cellar in downtown Milwaukee provided an unforgettable atmosphere for Lori & Justin’s big day! The lights were shining bright, and “picture perfect” is the only way to describe it! The beautiful afternoon ceremony on the terrace was accented by a string quartet, and early clouds gave way to sunshine just as the service began. Roots’ welcoming bar and dining area accommodated our guests during the extended cocktail hour, and was followed by a gourmet dinner from Chef John Raymond. Touching speeches followed our meal, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room...(DJ included!) We broke loose and danced the night away, with plenty of room for our guests to rock the dance floor, or take a breather on the terrace overlooking the Brew City skyline. Our third wedding celebration of the weekend was one we’ll never forget! From beginning to end, it was the epitome of what SSE is all about…a fantastic time with fantastic people. Kick the tires and light the fires! The Cotton Exchange in Waterford hosted Conley & Maria's country-inspired reception, and we tore it up! The planning for this celebration came together quickly, and everyone played an important part in making it an unforgettable night. After our fantastic meal, country artist Timmy Kash took the stage for the first hour and rocked the house! SSE took over the tunes at 8 o'clock, and we partied all the way 'til Sunday morning. SSE’s outdoor summer celebrations continue, and we went "whole hog" on this one! Tony celebrated his 40^th birthday with family and friends, and what a happening it was. The fun was spread out over 6 acres, with a bouncy house for the kids, games for the adults, and the star of the show…a slow-roasted whole hog on the spit! It takes a lot of work to pull an event like this together, including the surprise arrival of Tony’s friend who traveled by train to join us! The beautiful Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort just outside of Atlanta played host to our huge Casino Night, and we came up aces! Over 200 guests closed out their corporate conference with blackjack, craps, roulette, and a whole lot more. We raffled off hundreds of dollars worth of prizes, and everyone went home a winner. Even though the focus was on the gaming tables, we still got people out on the dance floor to cut loose...and we partied until they kicked us out! The Stone Mountain Beach Bash!

SSE was invited to entertain at two big corporate events in Georgia, and we jumped at the chance for some hot summer fun! Our first event took place on the beautiful beaches of Stone Mountain Park, just outside of Atlanta. Invited dignitaries from all across the U.S. and Canada converged for a day of paddling, relaxing with great tunes, and feasting on southern cuisine! Although a few clouds showed up in the afternoon, they broke quickly and gave way to an evening sunset that pictures don't do justice. We spun tunes for 6 hours, and kept everyone pumped up until the last boater hung up their paddle. After this event was all said and done, it was hard to believe we still had one more show to go in the A-T-L! We've said it before, but it's never applied more...Hot Fun In The Summertime!

SSE 'doubled down' and rolled the dice for Bethany & Tony's Wedding Celebration at Potawatomi Bingo & Casino in Milwaukee! SSE was contracted to not only provide our DJ services for their reception, but also the ceremony music...live! Joshua Krohn arranged and performed three great songs for their ceremony with Spoon on vocals...what an honor! Performing in the atrium-style Tribal Room provided amazing acoustics, and things went perfectly. From there we moved into the Woodland Dreams Ballroom for dinner and dancing. Not only were we able to perform with a fantastic musical artist, but we also worked with our favorite photographer, Doug from Grand Illusion! His artistic flair and attention to detail are just a few of the many reasons we're proud to recommend him to all our clients. The 2011 Relay For Life is in the books, and what an event it was! Thousands of supporters filled Hammes Field at Case High School in Racine for a two day fight against cancer! Misty weather and unseasonably cool temps didn't dampen anyone's spirit, as over $220,000 was raised to help the American Cancer Society fund research and create more birthdays. An unprecedented number of live musical talent participated in addition to SSE's 20-hour MC & DJ duties! Special thanks to Lighthouse Brigade, Mark Harrod, Zumba, Mohr Avenue, Night Wing, Kim Armstrong's 'A Popular Dance', and Jamar "4-0" Jones. Relay is our longest, busiest, and most exhausting show each year...it's also the most emotional, meaningful, and inspirational! Months of planning and preparation fell into place perfectly as we celebrated Emily's Bat Mitzvah this Saturday in Pleasant Prairie! The Radisson and their decorators did an amazing job creating the "Alice In Wonderland" theme, and all the guests were treated to an unforgettable evening. We were especially excited to team up with "The Big Balloon Tycoon" and his amazing interactive show! We've seen plenty of crazy things celebrating over the years, but I've never seen someone dance inside an 8 foot balloon...what a blast! Special thanks to Jessica at the Radisson and DJ Jenny for helping to make it all happen. Mazel Tov!

We 'picked up the spare' for another round of Scotch Bowling Fest with the good people of SC Johnson at the Roma Lodge! Cold beverages, great food, and big-time fun with SSE? I can't think of a better way to melt some snow and kick the winter blues, than a tropical-themed luau...in March! The Anderson family decked out their home in tip-top tiki style, and we jammed to Marley, Buffet, steel drums, and more! We fired up the karaoke on the big screen, and family and friends sang and danced the night away. We've got the cure for the wintertime blues!

Set 'em up, and knock 'em down! SSE returned to Racine's Roma Lodge for SCJ's Scotch Bowling Fest, and we lit it up! Two shifts of bowlers enjoyed great food, tunes, and fun. Too big to be contained in one weekend, we're gearing up for the second round of SBF 2011 on the 19th. Let the good times roll!

SSE's return to the exclusive Marriot Hotel in Racine was a complete blast! Anchor Fitness closed out another successful "Biggest Loser" session, and we threw a gala befitting all the hard work put forth by the participants. Records were shattered, glasses were raised, and the dance floor was packed for a night of well-deserved celebration. We'll see all of you at the end of the next session, congrats to you all!

The elegant Hawk's View Golf Club in Lake Geneva was the site of Zach and Kayla's awesome event! A brisk and beautiful outdoor ceremony began our afternoon, and we moved inside to fellowship and celebrate all night long. Another awesome Safari Saturday took place at the Racine Zoo this morning for our first show of the day, on a spectacular, Super-Saturday! Crafts, games, passports, a big bouncy house....what more could you ask for?! The kids had a great time, and we caught our mom's and dad's doin' a boogie to get our holiday weekend kicked off right. Once we wrapped up this one, it was on to a huge wedding in the afternoon and evening...and we wouldn't have it any other way. Happy 4th, y'all!

We enjoyed a wonderful Saturday on the shores of Lake Michigan with Anchor Fitness at the Racine Yacht Club! The hard working crew from Anchor pushed hard and fast in the annual Lighthouse Run in the morning. Afterwards, we all chilled by the waterside with cold drinks, great grub, and cool tunes.
