The Prairie Premiere

My goodness we had a great time tonight! Torrential rainfall didn't dampen a single spirit this evening. SSE was proud to entertain in the 'Karaoke Lounge' at the Johnson Athletic Center for The Prairie School's 12th Annual Dinner and Auction Fundraiser. We sang, we danced, and we went WAY later than we thought we would! I'm trying to think of something that could make me happier about how things went. The only thing I can come up with...I wish we could do it again right now! The 13th Annual celebration can't some soon enough. Thanks to everyone!!

Second City Spectacular!

The summer of '08 was one of SSE's most exciting. We did more shows in Chicago than ever before, and we blew the roof off the place with a huge one on Michigan Ave! The historic Intercontinental Hotel on the Magnificent Mile played host to our bride and groom's elegant wedding reception. The months of preparation and hard work paid off, and it couldn't have gone better. Sweet Home Chicago!

10th Annual Egg-stravaganza!

Today we kicked off Spring at the Racine Zoo with their 10th annual Egg-stavaganza! Visits with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and lots of arts and activities for the whole family. Old friends stopped by to say hi, and the whole day was a great success. Since our event was catered to the kids, we played a lot of Miley...a lot of Jonas...and we had a lot of fun! We're looking forward to entertaining at the Zoo again, the 14th Annual Classic Car and Bike show is coming up this August 23rd. Mark your calendars now, I'm sure it will be an Egg-cellent time!

Saturday's Snowy 60th!

Even a freak spring snowstorm couldn't stop us from having a great time Saturday, with a big 60th Birthday Bash at Info's in Racine. People came from out-of-town (and out-of-state!) to celebrate with our guest of honor. Unexpected bonus? We caught up with our longtime friend Rey. Sing me a song Rey, you're the piano man!

The SSE / Charcoal Grill Story

The history of SSE is very much wrapped up in the awesome, long-standing business relationship we've shared with the Charcoal Grill. The Kenosha, Hales Corners, Franklin, and Racine locations have all been a home to weekly karaoke with Spoon, beginning all the way back in '96. Friday night we enjoyed performing for a wedding at the Hwy 20 banquet facility in Racine. Their hard working staff recommends us to all their clients, and we booked this particular wedding thanks to them. Everyone had a great time, and the floor was full all night long! Cheers!

January Jumpback!

We kicked off 2009 with some great Sunday Night parties for some of our long time business friends in the area. Since December is so busy for them, almost all of our partners in the restaurant and service industries have their holiday parties...after the holidays! We always rock hard with our friends at the Chancery Harbourwalk in Racine, and this January was no exception. We're proud to do selected special shows with them throughout the year, and we'll be sure to keep you updated on their upcoming live events!

Operation: High School Hysteria

Of all the different types of live events we produce, I think that High School gigs might be the most challenging of them all. Since 99.9% of popular music has some kind of questionable lyrics or content, it can be quite the task to keep the students and chaparones happy at the same time. Tonight, we rocked the 'big room' at Bristol Oaks Country Club! All the stops were pulled...all the tricks were played...and we all had a blast! These kids were awesome, and we even had the parents out there filling up the dance floor. We've already been asked back for next year...cheers to that!
