30th Annual Relay For Life of Racine!

For the 23^rd consecutive year, SSE was honored to serve as DJ & MC at the Relay For Life of Racine!  This year’s theme was “Pirates of the Cure-ibbean” and the entire Relay community came together to make cancer walk the plank!  During the opening ceremonies we were excited to hear from our Event Lead Amy Helvick, our ACS Staff Partner Maddie Petre, Dr. Vera Tarrakanova, Honorary Survivor Chris Otto, and Honorary Caregiver Julie Matusiak.  The Survivor Lap kicked off the festivities, and later in the evening we gathered to reflect on those who lost their battle with cancer during the emotional Luminary Ceremony.  There were plenty of fun activities to keep attendees of all ages entertained, including our overnight “Movie in the Park!”  Events like Relay remind us why we can never stop raising funds and fighting back against cancer.  Huge thanks to the entire Event Leadership Team, and everyone who came out to take part in this memorable and meaningful event.  Walk On!

Joy Of My Life!

The Covenant at Murray Mansion was the site of Jessica & Dustin’s beautiful wedding festivities!  The Rev. Eileen Stanley-Roberts officiated the ceremony and did a lovely job!  After the service concluded, guests enjoyed custom cocktails and lively fellowship in historic Murray Mansion.  Before long, it was time to continue the celebration with grand march introductions, words from our family and wedding party, and a delicious dinner.  Jessica & Dustin put together an amazing list of song requests!  We really got to flex our musical muscles with plenty of fun and unique picks from every genre.  The energy on the dance floor was awesome – what a night!  Big thanks to Keith, Kathy, Hannah, and the entire event team at The Covenant for another fantastic night.  Big congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Lang!

In Case You Didn’t Know!

SSE was thrilled to return to The Covenant at Murray Mansion for Channing & Angel’s spectacular Sunday wedding celebration!  The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Channing made her way down the aisle!  Following the service, guests moved into Murray Mansion for cocktails and appetizers while the Covenant team prepared for dinner service.  Our grand march kicked off the second half of the evening and led into the cake cutting and some very lovely speeches from the family and wedding party.  Keith and the entire culinary team knocked it out of the park with a delicious buffet, and before long it was time to open up the dance floor and celebrate!  Big thanks to Keith, Hannah, Sydney, Kayla, Heather, and all of Channing & Angel’s family and friends who were so warm and welcoming.  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Ortiz!

You Make My Dreams Come True!

Veterans Terrace in Burlington was the location of Marisa & Kyle’s lovely wedding affirmation and celebration!  We had the opportunity to set up three independent sound systems for the multi-site festivities.  The afternoon began with the beautiful outdoor ceremony.  It was a pleasure to hear so many guests lifting up their voices in worship and thanks!  After the vows, we made our way into the main ballroom for cocktails and fellowship.  Grand March introductions were incredibly fun, and the speeches and toasts from the family and wedding party were heartfelt and memorable. Once dinner concluded, Marisa & Kyle shared a special first dance on Memorial Terrace as we all looked on from the balcony.  From there, it was time to head back inside and dance the night away!  Big thanks to the staff and management at Veterans Terrace, the catering team from Charcoal Grill, our good friends at Corrina Nicole Photography, and everyone who came out to celebrate with the happy couple!  Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Heise!

Do You Believe In Magic?

SSE was honored to be a part of Cassidee & Logan’s boutique daytime wedding celebration at Circa on Seventh in Kenosha.  Not only were we celebrating our bride and groom’s big day, but also Logan’s birthday and Mother’s Day as well!  Guests arrived just before 10am to witness their beautiful ceremony.  Cassidee’s entrance down the staircase was breathtaking, and Jeff did a great job presenting the faith-centered message.  After the vows, guests enjoyed morning mimosas and specialty cocktails as well as delicious appetizers.  Steve and Nick prepared an amazing brunch, and Maddie did a fantastic job staging the donut dessert buffet!  We continued the fun into the afternoon out on the dance floor, including a special last dance just for the newlyweds.  Big thanks to Katie and the entire crew at Circa on Seventh for another awesome event!  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Thorne!
